Well thought out humour at the tip of a tongue, shooting from the hip can leave many a person smiling for a long time after an encounter. One would look at defining this as wit or British Humour. The same goes for slapstick humour. There is always a place for one to laugh at a friends/family/colleagues/performers misfortune. The word “Fail” is a YouTube must. What about Monty Python? We could go into the debate of American Humor vs British Humour but for what? Both are applicable at the best of times.
It is also interesting how our own definition of humour grows over the years. Those funny dark humour jokes that involve kids. Well, when you are a parent, they are not so funny any more. It is a wonderful thought to know that our humour grows with us.
Humour is definitely a defining characteristic
Listen. Some people are not pleasing on the eye, it is a simple fact! However, humour can certainly make up for that and more. In a relationship, beauty fades in the physical form. Sharing experiences, ideas, love and humour allows a relationship to grow and bloom.

At the end of the day, who cares? As long as you are laughing without damaging another psychologically or not dishing out a plethora of cruel intentions. No need to for ugliness. One will find dark humour most appealing and also offensive. Laughter is uplifting and a gift in the unhappiest of times. A burst of deep loud hearty laughter can wash away a person’s burdens and leave them feeling happy.
