Focus on the outcome not the obstacle. All to often we reach a stumbling block and that takes our focus and energy away from achieving what we want to achieve.
It takes our mind off our goal. It stops us from progressing forward towards our hearts desire.
Focus on the outcome not the obstacle
So why do we focus on problems? Simply put we like drama, we like to complain and we like to be the victim. For some, it is seeking attention, for others it is out of habit. However, when you focus on problems you tend to find more problems, it compounds. All of sudden, something that was not so big before now seems like an unmovable mountain.
We need to change our perspective towards situations. If you find negative thoughts clouding your judgement, try associate a happy memory towards this negative thought. The more you start doing this, the more you create a balance. You re-program your brain to thinking positively.
When we are presented with an obstacle. Write it down on paper. Why? This is an excellent way of taking the thought that will become repetitive and solidifying it. You have now acknowledged that you are aware of what is bugging you. Thereafter, write a list of how to combat this issue and move forwards. What positive actions can you take to remove the obstacle from your path. You will find that most times, the list is not that long. Deal with each point. The more you deal with each point, the less the obstacle becomes.
After having been through this process a few times you will find yourself naturally focusing on the outcome of the situation which is a hugely POSITIVE thing to do.
We wish you all the best with this lesson in life!
