Know your self-worth and you will always remember to treat yourself with respect and kindness.
How often have you lived through a situation were you realise that your have completely forgotten your own self worth? Once again, sacrificing it for others.
Yep, that is me. Just did it again! The thing is, this is not the first time I find myself aware of forgetting my boundaries, what is good for me in both growth and kindness to myself.
Know your self-worth
I am grateful that I am aware of this. It means I know my value. However, reflecting, I wonder why we do not keep remembering this. We forget, and sometimes those are the times were we should truly know our own self worth.
There is a lesson to be learnt in this, which I have not taken cognitive notice of yet. As life oscillates we get caught up in this state and eventually forget ourselves again.
It is almost as if we need to have a daily reminder on our bedroom wall. “Know your self-worth.”
You should walk out of the house everyday with this thought and face the day proudly, happily and with purpose.
Imagine the impact this would have on your life and how you approach others. You would see things differently, experience things differently. Life would take on a whole new meaning. You would be proud to be you and there won’t be a need to compare yourself with another.
So treat yourself kindly. Love yourself. Know who you are and step into the person you are meant to be. Everyday we hesitate is another day that lacks purpose. You are worthy, you are allowed to live a great life. That voice in your head. Let it be one that raises you up. It needs to be a voice of strength and purpose.
